Nothing will impress your family and guests more than this aromatic and stunning Peach Galette. And it's so easy.
1 1/2 cups AP Flour
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 stick cold butter
4-5 tbsp cold water
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
Apricot or Peach Jelly
Combine flour, sugar and salt.
Add in small cuts of butter and incorporate with hands or pastry cutter.
Once butter is pine nut size and well incorporated, add 4 tbsp of water and combine with flour mixture. Add additional water if too dry.
Shape into disk and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Cut peaches in neat slices and mix with brown sugar, lemon juice and vanilla.
Preheat oven to 400F
Place dough on large piece of parchment and shape into oval approx. 9"x12".
Fold edges over gently to form border.
Assemble peach slices on crust, any design you want, but in an even layer.
Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Allow to cool to room temperature on rack.
Finally, brush the top of peaches with apricot or peach jelly for beautiful shine.
